Tiling & flooring ยท Cheadle & Greater Manchester
Tiling and flooring that finish the room properly.
Kitchen splashbacks, bathroom walls and floors, laminate, vinyl and herringbone. Tiling and flooring are done by our own team, so they're planned with the rest of the job and the surfaces underneath are prepared properly first.

Walls & floors
The finish everyone sees, on a base nobody does
A tiled wall is only as straight as the wall behind it, and a new floor is only as flat as the floor underneath. Most of the work in a good finish happens before the first tile goes down.
We tile kitchen splashbacks and full walls, bathroom walls and floors, shower areas and utility rooms. We lay laminate, vinyl and luxury vinyl tile (LVT), including herringbone patterns, and fit the skirting, thresholds and trims that finish the edges.
Tiling and flooring are often the last stages of a kitchen, bathroom or renovation, and that's where most of ours happens. We take them on as jobs in their own right too.
What we do
Tiling and flooring we fit
Kitchen splashbacks
Metro tiles, patterned tiles and full-height splashbacks behind the hob and sink, cut neatly round sockets and windows.
Bathroom & shower tiling
Walls and floors, with the shower area waterproofed before tiling and the edges finished with proper trims.
Floor tiles
Porcelain and ceramic floor tiles for kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and utility rooms.
Laminate flooring
Laid on the right underlay, with the expansion gap hidden under skirting or beading so it doesn't buckle.
Vinyl & LVT
Sheet vinyl and luxury vinyl tiles and planks: warm, quiet and water-resistant for kitchens and bathrooms.
Herringbone & patterns
Herringbone and other patterned floors, set out from the middle of the room so the pattern looks right from the doorway.
The part you don't see
Preparation is most of the job
Rushed preparation is why tiles crack, grout lines wander and laminate bounces. These steps take time, and they're worth it.
Flat walls first
Uneven walls are skimmed or boarded before tiling, so the tiles sit flat and the grout lines stay straight.
Level floors first
Dips and humps are levelled before a new floor goes down; otherwise laminate bounces and the joints open up.
Set out before starting
Tiles are set out so the cuts are even at both ends, not thin slivers in a corner or round the window.
Edges finished
Tile edges, door thresholds and the joins between rooms get proper trims, not left raw.

Tiling & flooring questions
What people usually ask first
Sometimes, if the old tiles are firmly fixed and the wall can take the extra weight. Usually it's better to take them off and start from a flat surface. Amir will tell you which applies to yours.
Laminate looks and feels like wood but doesn't like standing water. Vinyl and LVT cope better with spills and are softer and warmer underfoot. We'll show you the options at the visit.
We can, or you can choose your own. If you're buying them yourself, check the quantity with us first, because you'll need extra to allow for cuts.
Yes. The old flooring is taken up and taken away, and the floor underneath is checked and prepared before anything new goes down.
It depends on the area and the tile. Large tiles and patterned layouts take longer to set out and cut, and adhesive and grout need time to set before the room is used. You'll know the timescale before we start.
Yes. One floor running through connecting rooms, with neat thresholds, makes a downstairs feel bigger. We'll trim the doors afterwards if the new floor is thicker.
